Plico Energy

I started requesting a battery for my existing solar power system in February last year. After various machinations and delays it was installed in November 2022, 10.2kw Alpha battery. Apart from the delay in getting this I am very happy with the setup and would recommend Plico for any solar power system.

Very Happy with our system inc battery backup. We have the system approx 10 months and below is our actual savings Total Synergy Bill ex Govt $400 rebate is $194 over 10 months plus 39 weeks @ $39.90= $1556(4 weeks free due to referral) Total $1750 Same time previous year with old 1.5 kw system no battery $2989 saving $1239 PLUS BACK UP WHEN POWER GOES OUT which has happened twice during this period. Most of our purchased power is due to running air conditioning all night over summer which drains the battery to 15% (back up setting) and running heavy appliances such as oven and air fryer which exceed the batteries capacity. Over Summer we were receiving excess of 50 kw / day which is more than enough to run pool pump, pool heater and general power consumption as required during the day. Once system is paid off we will be miles in front.After Sales service is great and the app is very easy to use it shows heaps of graphs and facts. Over the past 90 days 94% of our total power consumption has been solar generated.

I had my system, 18 panels plus 10kw battery installed by Plico last year. From initial contact to installation and ongoing contact, Plico has been amazing. They are informative, helpful and open. When there was an unavoidable delay due to my particular building idiosyncrasies, they offered me bonus payment free weeks WITHOUT being asked!I also love the app which let's me see exactly what power my panels are generating and how it's being used. And when there's a local power blackout, my lights, tv and ceiling fans are still on!The best though is knowing that with Plico I'm part of creating solutions to climate change.

As a family which is inspired by permaculture design thinking, Plico has been a wonderful decision for us. We chose to become part of the Plico Energy community not only to provide for our own sustainability and energy security needs but also to support community resilience and security through the smart grid and the community grants.We designed a small, well insulated, north facing house and shed and as a result of installing solar panels and battery we have only paid for imported energy on a couple of days over the last two years. Obviously your energy needs will be different but for us it has worked out very well.We run off battery in the evening and feel confident that if there were longer term power outages (a risk in semi-rural SW) we would be able to keep the household running with some behavioural changes.So far we have been very satisfied with the service and hardware, and the solar panels look excellent on our shed roof.

We have two Plico installations and they have revolutionised our energy use. The panels and battery are excellent and the software that gives us real time access to our usage data is brilliant. Using Plico has reduced our electricity bill to almost zero over Spring-Autumn and by half over winter. I couldn't be happier.

Great products despite there terrible customer service, personally went for a battery only deal as we already had an existing solar system. Was a major headache as plico customer service is terrible and they don't appear interested in assisting those with battery only deals especially when other customers get there system installed prior to us. There claim that they monitor each system is acomplete fabrication as our system was offline for several weeks with issues around our NBN and wifi, not once did they contact us to query about our issues. As I say they offer great products and are great once you can wade though there BS and poor service.
